Flash elements are great for website aesthetics, but they can be a nightmare if you have frequently updated content. Flash development using XML, a way of storing data that is easily read by programs, is one of the most flexible and easy ways to update Flash content. Instead of storing all of the data within the Flash element, it's stored in an external XML document so that when it's time to update content, you only have to edit this XML (or have a Content Management System edit it).

Combining Flash-XML with XSLT is also an easy way around the search limitations inherent in Flash, allowing all of your content to be seen by search engines.
